January 2021, a month with a lot of snow! January 13 I woke up with a white view. The whole valley was strewn under at least 10 cm, it had snowed a lot in the night! So I live at the top of a hill and have to drive down a steep part by car every day. I had to clean my car and then carefully drive down. It was still reasonably doable and I arrived safely at the stable.

Later in the day the sun came through and the horses could still enjoy the snow outside.
In the evening it started snowing again and that went on all night.

A very large amount of snow fell. The car was snowed in and the roads were no longer passable. I couldn't leave like this. I decided to call the campsite to have someone give the horses hay there. I would try to go that way in the afternoon. At noon I decided to go for a walk to see how the roads were. There was still a lot of snow everywhere and many cars had problems.
In the afternoon I decided to take the train to the horses, so I could still clean out the stables and feed them myself. I let the ponies play in the snow for a while. They really enjoyed running and taking a dip in the snow.
At the end of the day I went to Issy and Impressive. The paddock was of course also completely covered in snow. I decided to let them play outside for a while. Issy loves the snow and likes to stick her head in it up to her ears. Impressive was not quite sure what to do with it and was afraid to step into the deep snow. When I went before her to show that it wouldn't hurt her, she decided to go after me. In the end she loved it and enjoyed the snow! I brought in two more friends of hers and then it was party time!
The following days it continued to snow and there was a total of half a meter in the valley. We hadn't had that much snow in the valley for a long time. We had to enjoy this even more! We made many rides through the snow, galloping through the fields and taking many photos and videos.
January 18 we held a photo shoot, me and two other friends from the stable with a Haflinger. The mother of one of the girls took the photos. We rode to a large field where we had a nice view for the photos. A few photos in stand, a few in a walk from the front, from the back, once with the three of us and once alone. All kinds of options were tried. In total we had almost 500 photos. Enough to choose from!
The next day the sun was shining and therefore a reason to have another photo shoot. This time I went with a friend and her own horse. We wanted some fun action photos. We trotted and galloped back and forth a few times, rode around and our horses enjoyed everything. Also this day we had almost 500 photos. But wow, what a result!
This month was a month full of photos. I love photos and I think you can never have enough of them. This month I have expanded my collection quite a bit and I think it is great to share the best results with you! Below a number of photos taken in January.
