The summer months, June, July and August. I was finally able to get back to work, Press enjoyed the Alm and I enjoyed my horses!

June.

June 15th I could finally start my work at the campsite as a driving instructor. The world seemed to return to normal and tourists came to Austria again. Slowly but surely, the corona seemed to fade into the background.

Press was on the pasture in Ginzling, together with the other young horses and a number of mares with foals. The pasture there is beautiful and therefore an ideal place for a small photo shoot, especially when the weather is nice!

Press had sustained a wound on the pasture. On her front leg, the front of the fetlock. A hell of a place. With every movement it opened again. I had to go up more often to wash it out. Fortunately, they are constantly moving on the pasture and it did not get very thick. It took forever to get a crust on it, but it seemed to heal well.

At the end of the month, we moved Press to another pasture, on the Horberg. Here she came to stand together with two other horses. Wonderful all the freedom they have there!

July.

he campground was full in the summer and there were many children who came to ride and clean. Once a week there was Pimp My Pony on the program. Lovely with the ponies, brushing, braiding and paint on them, it was all possible. Some of the children were very excited and the ponies sometimes stayed blue and pink for days!

But it was worth it, all happy faces. Sensation also loved the attention! He enjoyed the many children. He even decided to lie down in the middle of his cleaning, and then let everything go on. Definitely a children's pony!

Of course you have to ride in the wonderful weather. And what makes it even better ?! An ice cream! So, on the way back from our ride, we ride past a nearby restaurant and got an ice cream! It doesn't get any better!

August.

I always like to walk around with my camera, take hundreds of photos at once. Everyone is always on them, except for me! This month I was lucky! At the beginning of the month there was a girl at the campsite who also loved to take pictures. So finally I could take a picture with my horses. First we took pictures of Infinity while riding at the campsite. The next day we drove to Schwendau and it was Issys turn. And what a cool photos!

The foals were great! Both foals were weaned off this month. Issy always gets thin because of the foals and that's why we never wait too long before weaning. Finn turned out to have the same thing and so she had to leave her foal too, so that she could gain weight again. Both thought it was fine, since I had been practicing with them to be away from their mother before. In the meantime I was already able to walk around the village with Intizara. She walked me everywhere, super good. Sensation was the most relaxed foal I had ever seen. He made new friends with a pony from the campsite and then regularly slept in his stable for a long time.

Daisy, now 2.5 years old, still stood in Schlitters, although she almost looked like a full-grown Haflinger. Every now and them I visit her. But she was still young and could enjoy her life a bit more.

At the end of the month, a friend came to Austria on vacation. She is a photographer, so it was time for a photo shoot again. The year before she had taken beautiful pictures of Infinity on the pasture. This year we would take pictures of all of them. Impressive on the alm, Issy and Intizara in Schwendau and Infinity and Sensation in Aschau.

When I got the pictures all I could think was: WOW WOW WOW!

What beautiful horses I have and how grateful I am that they are my horses!

Love, Fabiënne
